Six custom home construction steps
Choose building lot (if not already owned)
It’s important to find the perfect lot for your new custom-built home. We want to find a lot that satisfies all your needs as a future homeowner. Once your home is built, we want you to love it.
Choose home plan
You have three options when it comes to home plans. You can choose a home plan already designed by Outlook Construction, you can bring your own home plan to us, or we can custom design a home plan with you.
Complete the new home preferences questionnaire
We ask that all of our clients complete a new home preference questionnaire to ensure we build the perfect custom home
for you. Throughout the entire process, we’ll ask questions and clarify details to ensure the home we build is exactly what you envisioned.
Receive a new home quote
Once we understand what you want out of your custom home, we’ll get you a new home quote. This gives you an idea of what the home build will cost. When you choose Outlook Construction, there are never any hidden fees. The cost of your home will rise and fall with your preferences or selections, and we are 100 percent transparent.
Confirm upgrades and options
At this stage, we’ll double check and confirm all upgrades and pending home preference options with you. This could mean room layouts, building features, and more. Once everything is confirmed, we can begin working on a contract.
Sign a construction agreement
We’ll collect all the information you shared with us and create a construction agreement that everyone involved will sign. Once the agreement is signed and documented, we can get you started on acquiring a construction loan.
Apply for your construction loan
Generally, construction loans can take anywhere between one-to-two months to process. Once you acquire yours, we can get started on your custom home.
